Small style tweaks
Most branding is already in theme settings: colors, fonts, and section options. Prefer those first.
Built-in Custom CSS
Section titled “Built-in Custom CSS”Shopify lets you add CSS in the theme editor (theme or section).
Good for:
- Tiny spacing tweaks
- Hiding one temporary element
Avoid:
- Changing Apple Pay / Shop Pay / Google Pay button colors
- Huge piles of CSS that break the mobile layout
Safer path
Section titled “Safer path”If you need a bigger redesign, hire a Shopify Partner and work on a duplicate theme so your live store stays safe.
